Dino-mite!

On Friday morning Jamie celebrated his 2nd birthday with some of our closest friends. I’ll let the pictures tell most of the story….

Decorations: The 'Happy Birthday' banner and 'Jamie' wall sign are homemade out of craft foam to match the theme. Josie and Jamie both helped me hang the streamers and blow up balloons on Thursday afternoon.

 

Activity: Grow-A-Dino tunred out to be a big flop. The dinosaurs were supposed to grow 6x their original size but in the three hours of party time they didn't make any sizeable change. I'll be leaving a very negative online review. Luckily, the boys had just as much fun filling their water cups with dinosaur confetti.

Presents: Jamie was reluctant to start so I asked his friend Rowan to help him open the first gift. After that Jamie caught on and was more than capable of opening the rest all by himself. His friend Robby gave him a bag full of snack food- cheese crackers, fruit snacks, lollipops- and when Jamie dumped the contents out onto the floor it was like he'd just broken open a pinata. All the kids made a mad dash towards the food!

The Cake: Here it is! He was a huge success with kids and adults alike.  

 It was so much fun to watch Jamie try to blow out his candles. He used more of a spitting technique than a blowing one.

Friends: For a boy who's only been alive for two year, Jamie sure has accumulated a lot of great friends!
